FRIM is Malaysia’s forest research institute that located in a 544 hectares park consisting of man-made tropical rain forest, a meandering stream (the Kroh River), waterfalls, arboreta, and botanic gardens. Among the most famous attractions of FRIM are the unique crown shyness phenomenon of Dryobalanops aromatica, the forest canopy walkway, the hiking and cycling trails under the shade of the giant canopy trees.

The Kepong Botanic Gardens is developed by FRIM to be the center for living plant collections mainly for Malaysian plants. This garden will create research opportunities in botany, horticulture, landscape and other related fields. Plants from the wild will be systematically collected and planted in the garden for display and as a center for ex-situ conservation.

By Train/Bus

Take MRT Putrajaya Line to Sri Damansara Timur station then exit through Desa Kepong Complex and take RapidKL Bus [T111] to Taman Ehsan [SL14] bus stop in front of SMK Taman Ehsan. Then walk trough Taman Ehsan Health Clinic for about 150 m to the Kepong Botanic Gardens entrance.
