Lata Tembakah (Hutan Lipur Lata Tembakah) is located in Pelagat Forest Reserve, just 24 km south of Jerteh town in Besut district.It is clearly signposted and can be reached easily. Lata Tembakah waterfalls are probably the most impressive falls of Terengganu as it consists 7 level of waterfalls/cascades. This forest reserve was first developed in 1987 and became a major attraction for local and international tourist. Amongst the most popular with the visitors are the flora and fauna found there, rivers with crystal clear water, waterfalls and natural ponds. All these make Lata Tembakah an ideal location for family picnics.
Camping is the most popular activity here during the weekends and public holiday. During the school holiday this place is always alive with motivation camps for students, the scouting movement, the police cadet and such. Facilities provided here including chalets, camping sites, hanging bridge, information hut and walking trails. There is also a suspended bridge for those who want to enjoy nature from up high and take in the breathtaking view of its many waterfalls, natural rock formation and greenery.

By Car
From SOUTH by E8 LPT expressway, take EXIT 865 to Kuala Terengganu (Last exit as E8 LPT Phase 3 to Kota Bharu is still under construction). After toll plaza, turn left onto Route 3 heading to Kota Bharu/Permaisuri. After 77 km, turn left onto Route T142 heading for Pasir Akar/Keruak. Follow the road for 8.5 km until you reached at the end of the road, turn left onto Route T5.
Follow the road for 8 km until you arrived at a T junction with sign to Lata Tembakah.
Continue for about 5 km until you can see the sign to Lata Tembakah (Hutan Lipur Lata Tembakah).
