Selangor Fruits Valley (SFV) is developed by Perbadanan Kemajuan Pertanian Selangor (PKPS), a subsidiary of Selangor State Government. The purpose of SFV is to have visitors experience an educational agricultural life at first hand taste fresh produce sold by local farmers. Various attraction awaits at SFV such as Tropical Fruits Farm, Herbs & Spices Garden, Deer Farm and Mini Petting Zoo.
Spread across 2000 acres, this is one of Selangor’s most fertile regions, and at The Selangor Tropical Fruits Valley, one of the several fruit farms in the area, tropical fruits and trees spread out as far as the eye can see. Starfruit, which is native to Malaysia, is one of the most popular fruits grown here (the site is rumored to be home to the largest star fruit farm in the world) and is exported all across the globe.
Some of the other 20 types of fruits grown here include mangoes, rambutan, guava, papaya and Selangor’s very own Gosapine or the Selangor Super Sweet pineapple (a cross between the Selangor and Thai varieties). The views here are truly breathtaking, especially between April and July when the trees start to fruit. As the site is so large, it’s best to catch a lift on one of the trams that cross the valley – and be sure to buy some fruit for a healthy snack, too.
